| | Beeswax is harvested from the empty nest. Beeswax contains organic/saturated hydrocarbon and unsaturated hydrocarbon, ester and alcohol monoester, cholesterol, and small amount of certain minerals. The color of wax can vary from orange to yellow; it will be frozen and a bit soft in room temperature, easily broken in a cold temperature, soft at 85oF, but not sticky, has specific smell and floral aroma.
Beeswax can be used as a raw material for making batik, candles, for cosmetics industry, cold cream, lipstick and various lotions. Pharmaceutical industry uses beeswax for plaster and medicine. Beeswax used also for water proof, in mixing ink, pencil and polish.
